Pass the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Six months ago, the House passed H.R.1585 to reauthorize the VAWA, strengthen its protections, and expand access to justice for victims of abuse. Since then, the Senate has ignored this legislation. Call your senators at 1-888-885-1748 today to support victims and survivors of domestic violence! Your message to your senators is simply, “Bring H.R. 1585 to a vote in the Senate and support its passage.”

HR 763, the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (EICDA) , is a market-efficient and revenue-neutral approach to reduce the carbon dioxide pollution that is a primary driver of the climate crisis. Introduced by a bi-partisan group of legislators, this bill would reduce national carbon pollution emissions by over 90% by 2050 by pricing carbon at $15 per metric ton and increasing $10 every year. The US Catholic Conference of Bishops has expressed support for the bill. Ask your House Representative to co-sponsor this bill and ask your Senators to introduce a similar bill on a bipartisan basis.
